- Notes: A nice issue of one of the earliest and most important American magazines, published from September 1743 to December 1746, and sold in Philadelphia by Benjamin Franklin. This issue contains the continuation of a description of Greenland, an essay on discoveries made with a microscope, early American printings of the French and British declarations for King George's War and notice of the death of John Hancock's father. Evans 5327 (for all issues from that year).
