Folio, contemporary calf, moderate wear, crudely rejointed; lacks frontispiece as usual, serious dampstaining and sticking affecting last 20 leaves only, last leaf including list of Willard's works defective; bookplate on front pastedown, early owners' inscriptions on title page and elsewhere including William Johnson (1726), from Anna Moody to her son Cutting Moody (1828), and Elizabeth Kelly (1837). - Notes: The early owners appear to have been residents of Newbury, MA. The Rev. William Johnson (1706-1772) graduated from Harvard in 1727 and was a lifelong Newbury resident; he does not appear on the extensive subscriber list.
