Second edition, two large quarto volumes, half-title present in second volume; four leaves of publisher's ads bound at the end of the second volume; title of first volume with two closed tears (both repaired on verso); bound in contemporary full English calf, recently rebacked and housed in custom buckram slipcase; ex libris Robert Barclay (b. 1732) of Ury in Aberdeenshire, Edinburgh, with bookplates in both volumes depicting a dove with an olive branch and the motto, "Cedant Arma"; 11 x 9 in.
