Silver print, the image measuring 9½x7½ inches (24.1x19.1 cm.), the mount 16x13¾ inches (40.6x34.9 cm.), with Weston's initials and negative date in pencil on mount recto, and the Portfolio Print stamp with the print number "9" in pencil on mount verso; with a Dody Weston Thompson Collection of Edward Weston Photographs label with her signature in ink on mat verso.

  • Condition: Edward Weston's "Cypress and Stone Crop, Point Lobos, from Edward Weston: Fiftieth Anniversary Portfolio, 1902-1950" (1946; printed circa 1951 by Brett Weston) is in excellent condition. The print is lustrous and rich, replete with densely packed detail and textural contrast. It is without apparent flaw.

    The mount is also overall bright and clean. There is a bit of warmth at the far left edge of recto, but this is minor. With Weston's initials and negative date in pencil on mount recto, and the Portfolio Print stamp with the print number "9" in pencil on mount verso. And with a Dody Weston Thompson Collection of Edward Weston Photographs label with her signature in ink on mat verso.
