EGON JOSEF KOSSUTH (1874-?) AUSSTELLUNG WIESBADEN. 1909.
33x23 1/2 inches. Fritz Schneller, Nürnberg.
Condition B+: restored losses and staining in top margin.
Before settling in Wiesbaden, where he lived for several years before moving to Berlin in 1919, Kossuth studied art in Munich under Franz von Stuck, and traveled around Europe. To the best of our knowledge, he only designed two posters. This image, for an exhibition featuring crafts, advertising and garden design, displays a man with tools and a woman with flowers and is presented in a formal, Hellenistic, secessionist style. DFP III 1884.
