first edition. inscribed and signed by eilshemius with the original spelling of his name, dated 1931 on front blank. A rare title by the idiosyncratic painter/poet who, thanks to the admiration of Katherine Dreier and Marcel Duchamp, was the subject of the first solo artist show of the Société Anonyme. He changed the spelling of his name more than a few times, blaming its difficult spelling as the reason for poor sales during his lifetime.
