Lithograph, 1946. 235x168 mm; 9 1/4x6<5/8> inches, full margins. Signed, titled and dated "1947" in pencil, lower margin. A very good, dark impression of this extremely scarce print.

Alternately titled For Colored Only or Pensador (Thinker), Restaurant Patron was the first lithograph Catlett printed at the Táller Grafica Popular. Produced after her 1946 series of linocuts, The Negro Woman, few of the prints she produced there hadimages of African-American women. We have not found another impression of this print at auction in the past 20 years. Herzog pp. 99-100.
