Condition A-: minor restoration along vertical and horizontal folds; unobtrusive repaired pin holes in corners. Framed.

As a student, Cardinaux trained in Munich with Franz von Stuck. In addition to his prolific poster work, he was also a skilled landscape painter - clearly evident in his poster designs advertising travel to various Swiss destinations. This is the German version. Sports d'Hiver p. 30, Art of Skiing p. 76 (var), Swiss Winter Sports 144 (var), Paradis 2.
