Emil Orlik was active in many different fields of decorative arts, including theatrical designs, posters and printmaking. A member of the Vienna Secession, he worked both in Vienna and Prague, but also traveled extensively throughout Japan, the Far East and the Middle East. this is a rare variant, as the poster normally appears announcing the exhibition of Emil Orlik's work at the Kunstsalon E. Richter. Kunst 353 (var), Rademacher p. 70 (var), Fruhe Berliner 748 (var).
