Octavo, one of five variants printed in 1546 citing different booksellers; all are rare in institutional holdings, sometimes represented by only a defective copy or just a title page; this particular variant is held in 3 libraries worldwide, the British Library copy has only a title page; the Bodleian has a copy; in the U.S. the only holding listed is Harvard Law School, and according to the STC, their copy is lacking the title page; title present in this copy, printed within a woodcut compartment; contemporary signature of "Robert" to title; lacking 5 preliminary leaves; a very nice copy with deckle edges; bound in 19th century half calf with marbled paper boards, ex libris British Member of Parliament Sir Robert Shafto Adair (1811-1886), with his engraved bookplate inside the front board; 5 3/4 x 3 1/2 in.
