Notes: original catalogue for the famous exhibition of "degenerate art" mounted by the Third Reich, vehemently denouncing the works of Kokoschka, Kirchner, Grosz, Klee, and others accused of producing "poisonous art." Over 5,000 paintings amd 12,000 pieces of graphic art works were seized from galleries and museums. In 1938, several pieces were auctioned to raise money for the Reich; most were publicly burned.
