    After a long and successful career as an R&B singer, Sylvia Robinson (1935-2011) founded Sugar Hill Records in 1979, and produced "Rapper's Delight" and Grandmaster Flash's "The Message." She is known as "The Mother of Hip Hop," and was inducted posthumously into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. We have not traced any of her autographs at auction.

    With--25 other items by other singers and actresses, including signed photographs of Helen Martin and Louise Beavers; a period 1950s photograph of singer Sallie Blair with the Johnny Otis Band; two photos of folk singer Odetta; 7 photos of Stephanie Mills as star of "The Wiz"; 2 photos of singer Miriam Makeba; photo of opera soprano Camilla Williams; program for a 1950 Negro Actors Guild performance starring Pearl Bailey and Ethel Waters; souvenir programs for performances by Ella Fitzgerald, Ethel Waters, and Lu Elliott; and six other items.
