  • Notes: The Typed Letter Signed by Stafford reads in part: "The patch flew to within 50,000 feet of the lunar surface in our Lunar Module named 'Snoopy.' I commanded the first flight of the Lunar Module to the Moon where my crew successfully demonstrated techniques needed to accomplish the first lunar landing mission of July 1969."
