FLOWN Apollo XII Cloth Patch. An approximately 4-inch diameter crew patch that is mounted on a Typed Letter Signed by Gordon Cooper. The patch features a clipper ship over the Moon leaving a gold and silver dust trail in its wake. Displayed in an 8x10 metal frame. NASA/MSC, 1969
- Notes: The patch was carried on the Apollo XII flight, the second manned lunar landing mission. The Typed Letter Signed reads in part: "Pete and I flew together on Gemini 5 back in 1965. We had the first ever crew designed mission patch for that flight. The clipper ship on this Apollo XII patch is a symbol of Pete's all Navy crew."
