FLOWN United States Flag. A 4x6 inch flag inscribed and signed by Collins along two white bars "Carried to the Moon on Apollo XI, July 1969, Michael Collins, CMP." Mounted on a 10x12 inch multi-colored NASA certificate also signed by Collins which reads "This flag traveled to the Moon with Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing, July 20, 1969. Notes: a united states flag from the first lunar landing mission is the most desirable flown flag from any manned space flight.
The historical significance is greatly increased as the flag comes directly from an Apollo 11 crew member.
The crew's last names are printed above the Apollo 11 mission emblem and Neil Armstrong's first words while stepping on the Moon's surface are printed at the bottom of the certificate.
