  • Notes: This cookbook was compiled at the cooking department of the all-Black Thompson Institute in Lumberton, NC. The name "I. Richardson" appears faintly on the front board, and "Irene Cornelia Richardson" is added in a later hand to the inner cover. Desserts, vegetable sides, and entrees are covered, as well as tips on canning and other kitchen practice.
