The first edition, before the bevel and on the "very heavy, absorbent, laid paper" in which "the wire marks are hardly visible" according to Harris. A superb impression of this scarce print with the finest roulette work printing clearly and with subtle tonal gradations. Harris lists the size of the first edition as "very small"and the subsequent 2 editions scarce as well. We have not found another impression at auction in the last 20 years. Delteil 12; Harris 11.
