(GARVEY, MARCUS.) Hear! Hear! Hear! An International Convention of the Negroes of the World. Broadside "extra" from Garvey's The Negro World. 22.5 x 16 inches, encapsulated. New York: U.N.I.A., 20 February 1926 E250/350 1926 was a particularly difficult year for Garvey, convicted of mail fraud and in prison at Atlanta. Factions within the U.N.I.A. attempted to take it over and sub-vert it. This sheet, signed in print by Secretary Joseph A. Craigen, was a call for unification within the movement world-wide at a planned convention in March. Later in the year Garvey, writing from England, appealed to the faithful to avoid "traitors" at the convention. [SEE ILLUSTRATION]
