Ex-collection Randall P. Soucy. Exhibited Gaston Lachaise: Sculptures and Drawings, Europe 2003-2007, United States 2007-2008, New Orleans Museum of Art, 2007, catalogue no. 77 (illustrated).

Born in Paris, Lachaise emigrated to the U.S. in 1906. He moved to New York in 1912 and worked as an assistant to the sculptor Paul Manship, both of whom designed sculpture for Rockefeller Center.
