inviting her to meet to discuss her career ambitions [acting?] and expressing the hope that she is aware of the difficulties that such a career entails. 1¼ pages, small 8vo, with integral blank; some tiny holes at horizontal folds (none affecting text), light soiling to terminal page.

  • Notes: "If you can call on me at three o'clock on Monday, I shall be enabled to give some opinion on the subject of your wishes, at present I can only say that I hope you are aware of the difficulties which exist, & the qualities which are requisite in the profession you wish to assume, more particularly in that line of character you mention in your letter."
