Oil on card stock, 1955. 153x112 mm; 6x4 1/2 inches. Signed and dated in oil, lower right recto, and titled in oil, lower center recto. Signed, dated "May 12, 1958", inscribed "The cottage, Huntington" and dedicated to Baltimore Judge Elsbeth Levy Bothe in pen and black ink, verso; annotated extensively in pencil, verso.

A gift from the artist to Judge Elsbeth Levy Bothe, 1958; acquired from the Bothe estate by the current owner, 2013. "The cottage" refers to Grosz's home in Huntington, New York, where Judge Bothe often visited.
