    Born in Greece in 1892, George Constant's career spanned many stages of the Modernist period of art. He showed his works with important New York galleries including Ferargil Galleries and Grace Borgenicht Gallery, Inc. He was active in New Deal art programs and exhibited at federal government funded exhibitions such as the 1939 and 1964 New York World's Fairs, and the Golden Gate International Exposition, San Francisco, 1939. He is represented in the collections of major museums including, The Brooklyn Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Rose Art Museum, Brandeis University, the Stedlijk Museum, and the Neuberger Museum.
