  • Notes: number 18 of only 100 copies, signed by ginsberg, marked AH, and dated 1996 by him, lower right. In the last year of Ginsberg's life he created six editions of prints with the famed workshop Gemini G. E. L. The Ballad of The Skeletons is a complex and multifaceted comment on politics and contemporary American society. It is visually represented in this screenprint through interweaving text and images of skeletons and skeletal imagery created by multiple artists. Ginsberg also made a vocal recording of it, featuring Philip Glass on keyboards, Lenny Kaye on bass, and Paul McCartney on guitar, organ, and drums.
