GIRARDELLI Benserade. Mechanical and Chemical Experiments. Letterpress broadside advertising a performance by Girardelli at the Cross Hays Ballroom, 12 1/4x8 1/4 inches (31x21 cm); chip along right edge, not affecting text. England, late 1820-early 1830s.
- Notes: Broadside gives a good idea of the various illusions to be performed: "Restore a Dead Bird to Life," "The Dancing and Speaking Money," "Silver Vases of Metamorphoses," etc. The broadside also connects Girardelli's career to that of his uncle and mentor, Le Sieur Châlons.
