Boston: S. G. Goodrich, 1827 FIRST EDITION of the rare first book of tales by the original Peter Parley. Only a few copies appear to come have come up previously at auction: one in New York in 1974, the Oppenheimer copy sold in London in 1982, and the incomplete H. Bradley Martin/Mildred Greenhill copy in New York in 1990. Blanck, Peter Parley to Penrod 1 (recording only the Harvard University copy); Grolier/American 35; Pierpont Morgan 49 (the C. Waller Barrett copy "one of two known copies").
