Gordon Cooper's FLOWN Gemini XII Mission Patch. A circular multi-colored cloth patch illustrating a Gemini spacecraft and a crescent Moon. The patch is mounted on a Typed Letter Signed by Cooper next to a Photograph Inscribed by Buzz Aldrin showing Cooper and Aldrin during Gemini XII training. Both are mounted in a 20x11 inch matted metal frame. NASA/MSC, 1966

  • Notes: Cooper's letter reads in part: "The crew patch enclosed with this letter was carried into space on the Gemini XII mission during November 11 to 15, 1966. I was back-up commander for the flight crew of James Lovell and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin. We finally figured out how to do spacewalks right by the time of this flight and Buzz performed his assigned tasks beautifully."
The inscription on the photograph reads "Thanks for your help, Buzz Aldrin, Gemini XII PLT."
