(GREAT SEAL--HENRY VIII.) Manuscript on vellum with attached Great Seal. Land deed referring to the Parish of St. Benedicts, Bucklersbury, in Cheap Ward, City of London, 120x340 mm, with attached double-sided wax Great Seal of Henry VIII, 130 mm diameter. In a gold-toned T-shaped frame, 480x450 mm. The document is in generally good condition, a small portion of writing obscured. The seal is missing approximately one-third of its left side. [England, first half 16th century]

  • Notes: On the recto Henry is shown seated on his throne holding a scepter and orb. On the verso he is shown riding a horse with the Tudor rose on the left.
