Group of 3 French porcelain plates depicting scenes from Uncle Tom's Cabin,
each 8 inches in diameter with a detailed floriated border enclosing a 3 1/4 black transfer headed "La Case de L'Oncle Tom," and a caption beneath explaining the image; some slight darkening to several spots. Bordeaux: J. Viellard & Cie., circa 1855-60
- Notes: One of the plates shows George's sister being whipped. The Viellard porcelain works were founded in 1845 and continued well into the 1890s.
