Dracula was released by Hammer Studios and called Horror of Dracula in the United States. The film was not only praised for its accuracy in staying in line with the original novel by Bram Stoker, but also for Christopher Lee's memorable performance which ended up defining the character for a generation. It was the first of eight vampire movies produced by the company. This is the original French version. Beauty and the Beast p. 89, Graven Images p. 195.
