The majority of the second page is devoted to the duel between Hamilton and Aaron Burr, including a letter from the Reverend Bishop Moore who administered communion to Hamilton before he died on July 12, but only after Hamilton swore never to duel again and that he would bear no ill will toward Burr. The issue also includes details of the funeral, held on July 16, including a diagram of the coffin with the order of procession.
