Condition A- / B+: minor repaired tears and restoration in margins and upper text; small replaced loss in lower left corner.

A renowned painter, Bohrdt was appreciated by Kaiser Wilhelm II, who was a patron of the artist's works and also a private student. His specialty was marine paintings and he designed numerous posters for different German shipping companies. Likely pictured is the Andania, launched in 1921, which largely served the Hamburg-New York route. Passenger Ships 24.
