HARDING, WARREN. Typed Letter Signed, as President, to Charles Hopkins, thanking him for the words of sympathy, writing that Mrs. Harding was comforted by them, and praising St. Augustine Florida. 1 page, single 4to sheet; top portion of stationery clipped above the salutation and date. Washington, 12 September 1922

  • Notes: "... It is true that no expression of interest or sympathy could be helpful to Mrs. Harding herself, but it was helpful to have some comforting expressions from those interested in her welfare. Mrs. Harding will be pleased when she is able to acquaint herself with the expressions of interest, to know how sincerely they sympathized with her in the Southern city to which we are both very partial."
