Harriet Carr, seeks compensation for the death of her son Horace of the 4th Regt. Co. D, U.S. Colored Troops. Partially printed document, accomplished by hand; two small folio leaves, written on three sides and docketed on the fourth. Dorchester County, 10 February, 1866

  • Notes: An interesting claim for the bounty on Horace Carr, a private who died of heatstroke while on march. Cited in Broadfoot, Volume I, page 138. Another Horace Carr is recorded as being in the 110th Colored Infantry. We could not be sure which one this one was.
