  • Notes: one of only 93 facsimile foundry proof copies issued by Louis Henry Cohn and privately printed before the plate was destroyed. This copy marked M by Marguerite A. Cohn and inscribed and Signed in her hand: "`M'' for Margie, Sent with best wishes to C. E. Frazer Clark, Jr." This facsimile includes Hemingway''s humorous comment in the margin about the printers'' use of the word "bastard" in lieu of illegitimate child. Hanneman F150.
