HERBERT, FRANK. Dune.

HERBERT, FRANK. Dune. Thick 8vo, blue cloth stamped in white, edges with thin ink spotting; faint stain to bottom portion of front cover; dust jacket with design by John Schoenherr, few similar ink spots along bottom edges, slight creasing and dampstaining, else very attractive. Philadelphia: Chilton, 1965

  • Notes: first edition. The first novel to win both the Hugo and Nebula awards. The 200 Best Books #48--Pringle, Science Fiction. The film adaptation received mixed reviews with one of its biggest detractors being the director himself, David Lynch, who saw fit to remove his name from the credits due to unauthorized changes made by the studio.
