HERRMANN Compars (1816-1887). Theatre broadside, in Spanish, for a performance at the Teatro Orfeon, 11 1/2x 8 inches (29x20 cm); chip to lower right corner (no loss of text), several other small chips and tears at edges. Mercedes, [Argentina]: La Familia Italiana, 02 September 1880.
- Notes: A curious survival from a South American tour by Compars Herrmann. In 1885 he reached an agreement with his brother Alexander whereby Compars had exclusive performance rights in Europe, while Alexander had performance rights in the Americas. This broadside may date from Compars' last tour of the Americas, since he toured Europe in the early 1880s.
