- Notes: Issued essentially as a pattern book to be used in "schools of art and amateurs." The Preface states that all but a few of the plates were taken from a small quarto volume which was bequeathed to the nation by Sir Hans Sloane in 1752 and "spoken of in a most enthusiastic manner by Dr. Alfred Woltmann in the second volume of his 'Holbein und seine Zeit' published at Leipzig in 1866." The images show examples of neck pendants, chimney pieces, gold cups, swords, book-covers, jewel-cases, and other decorative pieces.
