First edition, folio, engraved allegorical title page in architectural frame incorporating a map of England and a view of London Harbor and inhabited by allegorical female figures and cherubs; illustrated with a series of 65 portraits of important Britons and two engravings of monuments to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Henry; bound in full 19th century blind-decorated russia by Dickenson of Trumpington Street, Cambridge, England, rebacked; ex libris Hermann Marx and George Goyder, with bookplates, additionally signed by Goyder on flyleaf; 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 in.
