- Notes: A reprint and reimagination of the 1969 first edition, this book is a collaboration between Hosoe and the founder of Butoh Dance, Tatsumi Hijikata. The sequence of images, each a gatefold, the outside of which is printed in a rich blue, was inspired by the legend of the Kamaitachi and called a "subjective documentary" by Hosoe.
