(HOUDINI, HARRY.) Woven Black Silk Fob with attached gold nugget which belonged to Houdini, 5 1/2x1 1/2 inches, the golden nugget with raised initials "HH" and inset with a faceted stone, the bottom of the fob with a gold circlet with a hanging black stone; framed with various pieces described below. - Notes: Framed with an Autograph Letter Signed Joseph Dunninger, "New York City 1968. Regarding the Houdini Watch Fob. This is a Fob of woven black silk cord - from which is suspended a gold nugget - one inch long - and about 1/2 inch wide - In the center of the nugget is a diamond of 3/4 carat - Their [sic] are 2 gold letters (H-H-) - afixed [sic] to the nugget - one on each end - This fob belonged to the Late Harry Houdini (Eric Weiss). I have over the years - seen him wear it on numerous occasions. Joseph Dunninger." The fob and Dunninger letter are framed with a photographic portrait of Houdini and another of Dunninger. Swann Galleries does not guarantee the genuineness of the diamond described by Dunninger.
