IB ANDERSEN (1907-1969) BYGGE OG BOLIG. 1929.
32 3/4x24 1/2 inches. Chr. Cato, Copenhagen.
Condition A. Paper.
For an exhibition of "Construction and Housing" Anderson shows us just that. Through a cut away view, we get a superb, architectural rendition of a room with yellow floor, and red wall. The artist's familiarity with the avant-garde movements of Europe is clearly on display, both in the near-Bauhausian back drop of a black and white cityscape and the tribute to de Stijl in the primary colors of the buildings and the sky. A pure, Art Deco geometric approach. Danish 72.
