Small thin 8vo, brown Jansenist morocco with 5 raised bands, gilt turn-ins, patterned endpapers; marbled board slipcase, worn. France, late 19th century
- Notes: a lovely illustrated handmade work. The text is in black ink with occasional use of colors and historiated or decorative initials. The borders are executed in fine detail, also in numerous colors and gold, depicting mythical and Biblical motifs, animals, flowers, and elaborate ornamentation.
