  • Notes:
The photograph offered here was printed by Imogen Cunningham in 1970, from a series of glass plate negatives she made in 1915 of her husband, the artist Roi (George Roy) Partridge posing nude on Mount Rainer, Seattle, shortly after their marriage. It is likely the first time Cunningham
    had printed this negative.

In 1970, at the age of 87, Imogen Cunningham was awarded a Guggenheim Foundation grant of
$5,000 which she used to organize and print her extensive archive of early negatives, most of which she had not previously printed. This project culminated in the publication of her first of many monographs.
