    Besides the House and Senate printings of the Removal Act of 1830, this group includes an early report on the subject written by Thomas McKenney, two Messages from Andrew Jackson relating to the cost of the removal, an 1832 Message from Jackson with a lengthy report by Lewis Cass describing the resettlement and an 1839 report that includes several tables showing the numbers of Indians removed (25,139 in 1838) and the amount of land purchased.
