Notes: first edition. A scarce book -- rarely found in good condition -- defending Cresap from the charges that he had murdered indians, including the family of John Logan. Although Thomas Jefferson laid blame on Cresap in his Notes on the State of Virginia, Jacob published this defense after the 1824 publication of Joseph Doddridge's Notes on the Settlement and Indian Wars.
