  • Notes: "We take this opportunity of informing you in such a hasty time as in these Circumstances we can draw up, that we have diligently attended to the Memorial of the Case of the Mohawk Indians which you have Transmitted to us, by Doctor Doddridge. We Cannot upon so short a Warning Pretend to say any thing Positively & Particularly upon the subject, but in the General we beg leave to assure you that we look upon the matter as of Great importance, & that we shall be ready in our Respective Stations to Promote so Pious a scheme..."
