Thin small folios, original wrappers, edgeworn with some loss of paper and creasing, affects contents, but fibers not broken, some of the folding plates in the final volume have very small corner creases. - Notes: Complete set of three booklets published as promotional pieces for Nicolas wine merchants. Employing a soft-focus photographic process, Rose et Noir tells the story of the ill effects of the American cocktail on a young couple; it won second prize (after Herbert Bayer) in a contemporary New York photography competition that also included Man Ray and Moholy-Nagy.
