- Notes: If this poster appears familiar, it is not surprising, since it is one of the most blatant examples of poster plagiarism we have ever encountered. The poster is a "tribute" to Firmin Bouisset's poster for Chocolat Menier: the same posture, same clothes, same little basket, same color code, etc. This incredible document, albeit clumsier than the original, with more text muddying-up the image, shows what powerful tools posters were in their early years. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery it is also an indication of how advertisers thought certain posters were effective (otherwise they wouldn't have plagiarized them!)
- Condition: Condition B+: vertical and horizontal folds; discoloration in margins.
