Exhibited: DC Moore Gallery, New York, with the label on the frame back.

There are only a few drawings of this size and complexity from this period recorded in the catalogue raisonné. Lawrence described other New York City street scenes at the time like Chess on Broadway also from 1961. Not in Nesbett.
