We have found only one other impression of this lithograph - in the collection of the artist. It was exhibited and illustrated in the catalogue of James Lesesne Wells, Sixty Years in Art, Washington Project for the Arts, Washington, DC, 1987.

Wells and his wife spent a summer in Paris at the end of his 1937 sabattical from Howard University. Cluny is the ruined medieval monastery in the Latin Quarter of Paris.
